In the 16th minute, Theo Walcott shot wide from outside the box as England struggled to get behind the Kazakhstan defence. Early in the second half, Rio Ferdinand headed England into the lead after the Kazakhstan keeper flapped at a corner from Lampard. Just over ten minutes later, England doubled their lead when Alexandr Kuchma headed in a Frank Lampard free-kick. The Borats pulled one back when Ashley Cole played a disastrous ball through for Zhambyl Kukeyev to slot home. Wayne Rooney restored England’s two-goal advantage, when he headed home a Wes Brown cross. With six minutes remaining, Wayne Rooney added his second and England’s fourth after the Kazakh defence again failed to deal with a cross from deep, this time from Beckham. Jermain Defoe added the fifth late on
